Abby Burke is a Senior Policy Manager in the technology practice at Public First. Previously, she worked as Programme Manager for Open Rights Group, a UK-based human rights and technology policy NGO. Her role focused on free expression and privacy issues, working with key political, industry, and civil society stakeholders across the UK, US, and EU. In 2023, she was the youngest speaker at the UK’s Internet Governance Forum. Abby is originally from the United States and has worked or interned for the U.S. Department of State, the late U.S. Congressman John Lewis, Branch Politics, and the Carter Center. Abby holds a Master’s in Social Science of the Internet from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor’s in Economics and International Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
