Public First was commissioned by the University of York to explore the export and jobs benefits of international students in the UK.

We found that :

• The gross export value of higher education from international students is £20.1bn a year.
• In 26 constituencies in the country, higher education is the single largest export sector, supporting 183,000 jobs.
• Of the 102 constituencies where higher education is in the top 3 for exports, 87 are currently held by Labour.
