New Polling for Action on Smoking and Health
Public First carried out a large-scale, nationally representative poll for Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) to explore public attitudes toward government intervention in public health, with a focus on tobacco, alcohol, and unhealthy food and drink. The study was designed to test support for a range of potential policy interventions, understand the beliefs underpinning public opinion, and inform how best to frame future public health messaging.
Polling Tables
Public First conducted an anonymous, online survey of 2,010 adults across the UK from 21st February– 5th March 2025.
All results are weighted using iterative proportional fitting, or ‘raking’. Results are weighted by interlocking age and gender, region, and social grade to nationally representative proportions.
