Public First has conducted polling for Tools for Humanity to understand the impacts of AI on the internet experience. The poll collects basic demographic and background questions, before asking respondents about their experiences online, the perceived impact that AI has had on their day-to-day usage of media platforms (such as social media, news websites, and e-commerce). The poll also looks to gauge participant’s attitudes towards how they feel the internet has changed with the increase of AI, through the lens of scams and online fraud for example, as well as preferences about online verification.
Polling Tables
Public First conducted an anonymous, online survey of 2,004 adults in the UK from the 2nd to 7th January 2026.
Survey results are weighted using iterative proportional fitting, or ‘raking’. Results are weighted by interlocking age & gender, region and social grade to nationally representative proportions.
