New Polling on the Role of Government

Public First conducted polling of 2,003 adults across the UK from 5th September 2023 to 7th September 2023. The survey results are weighted using Iterative Proportional Fitting, or ‘Raking’. The results are weighted by interlocking age & gender, region and social grade to Nationally Representative Proportions.

We asked respondents a series of questions about how well or poorly they thought different institutions in Britain worked, and whether or not they thought the government should expand its role in society. The poll was conducted on demand for the Government.
