Public First is a public policy consultancy which offers solutions to complex policy problems faced by clients. We are a boutique, high end organisation that works in a few distinct areas of specialism and offers unparalleled expertise within these areas.
Across our business, we focus on a few main areas of work, each headed up by a highly experienced Head of Practice: Education and Skills, Levelling Up, Technology, Energy and Environment, Data and Impact, Social Policy and Polling.
Within each area of work, and more generally, we offer a range of services. We are, in effect, part think tank, part strategic advisory consultancy, part polling company, and part communications and public affairs agency.

Your key responsibilities would include:
The go-to-person for general office administration, including:
- Supporting any office move
- Ordering office and kitchen supplies, fobs/entry carbs and keys for office access
- Liaising with Landlord, managing agents, cleaners
- Ensuring office kitchen is operational and not afraid of unpacking a dishwasher o Ensuring Health and Safety policies are up-to date
- Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems o Handling office and supplier payments as required o Organising meetings and managing databases o Booking transport and accommodation o Organising company events and conferences
- Dealing with correspondence, preparing letters, presentations and reports o Renewing PF subscriptions and memberships
- Managing any communication and interaction with Public First, guests, interviewees, new joiners, etc.
- Any other ad-hoc duties
- Responsible for HR support, including:
- Ensuring that policies and procedures are regularly updated o Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
- Responding to ad hoc HR queries
Location and salary
The role is London based (we have offices in Westminster). It requires being in the office at least three days a week, with core days being Mondays and Thursdays.
Salary will depend on experience, but to give a sense of scale, we are looking at a bracket between £36-£38K.
