New Polling for NESO

Public First carried out a large-scale, nationally representative poll for NESO to explore public attitudes towards home energy use and low-carbon heating, examining how people understand their current systems and the factors that shape decisions about future upgrades. It aimed to assess public readiness for the transition to cleaner technologies, perceptions of cost and disruption, and the role people think government and landlords should play in improving housing energy efficiency.

Polling Tables

Public First conducted an anonymous, online survey of 9,758 adults across Great Britain from 5th – 16th December 2024.

All results are weighted using iterative proportional fitting, or ‘raking’. Results are weighted by interlocking age and gender, region, and social grade to nationally representative proportions.
