Public First recently undertook a study into how the British public experiences the cost of living and how their behaviours have changed to keep up with rising costs. We found that the cost of living is the top concern for Brits everywhere and that financial concerns are impacting their quality of life.

Public First conducted consumer polling of 2,003 respondents in an anonymous, online poll. Fieldwork ran from 20 to 26 June 2025. All results are weighted using Iterative Proportional Fitting, or ‘Raking’. The results are weighted by interlocking age & gender, region and social grade to Nationally Representative Proportions.
