Public First conducted polling for Save the Children and UNICEF UK to understand attitudes to child poverty and the Two Child Benefit Limit. After basic demographic and background questions, the poll included a conjoint exercise (not shown in tables) showing voters a range of scenarios for the state of the country in 2029 and asking whether or not people thought the government would deserve to be re-elected in each one.
The survey also included questions about the Limit in the context of other policies, adjustments to it, and overall support and opposition to removing it.
Polling Tables
Public First conducted an anonymous, online survey of 2,042 adults in the UK from 24th – 28th October 2025.
The survey results are weighted using iterative proportional fitting, or ‘raking’. Results are weighted by interlocking age and gender, region, social grade, ethnicity, and 2024 past vote to nationally representative proportions.
