Public First conducted polling for the Startup Coalition to understand attitudes towards data sharing and data protection. After basic demographic and background questions, the poll explored attitudes towards sharing data with companies, how adults expect companies to move data between themselves and how likely they would support scenarios involving policies around digital identity.

Public First conducted an anonymous, online survey of 1,067 adults in the UK from the 14th to 17th November 2025.

Survey results are weighted using iterative proportional fitting, or ‘raking’. Results are weighted by interlocking age & gender, region and social grade to nationally representative proportions.
