The BBC commissioned Public First to explore the impact of the media and entertainment sector on the UK economy. The research, which involved a large-scale poll of creative sector workers in the UK, examined the wider role of the creative industries in supporting jobs, skills, and regional growth, as well as how they shape the UK’s reputation overseas. The study captured the views and experiences of people working within the sector, including the challenges they face and the opportunities they see for the future.

Public First conducted an anonymous, online survey of 1,022 creative sector workers in the UK between the 12th – 14th August 2025.
