Public First Government Missions Tracker

The Public First team is tracking all key policy announcements made by the Government relevant to its 5 missions. You can find the link to the tracker here.

The Government has said its missions provide “measurable, long-term objectives that provide a driving sense of purpose for the country.” We have therefore structured this document around longer-term announcements – mission delivery boards, new bodies and consultations, and bills. We don’t intend to include every policy announcement connected to each area.

We have organised the document into three sections for each individual mission.

  • Boards. Individual mission delivery boards
  • Bodies. New bodies, consultations and reviews
  • Bills. Relevant bills and long-term policy commitments

Naturally, Labour have only just taken power and started implementing their vision for the country. We will therefore continue to update the document as the Government makes further announcements up to and including the Labour Party Conference. We have only included decisions/positions that have been confirmed publicly and have avoided making guesses (e.g. who will be responsible for particular bills). In the meantime, there will be gaps as Labour builds out their policy program.
