Nick Park has a long track record in energy policy and political advisory roles. Previously Nick was Director, Global Government Affairs at Baker Hughes and before that Group Head of Policy at Centrica for seven years. At Centrica he led the company’s public policy work and managed the company’s responsible business agenda and engagement on ESG issues. Nick was previously Director of Policy and Research for the Conservative Party during the coalition government, advising government ministers across all Whitehall departments. Nick drafted the energy and climate sections of the Conservative Party’s 2010 Manifesto and their Quality of Life of Manifesto. Nick has also authored research work on energy and sustainability topics from the economic value of flexible generation, to the optimal trajectory for UK carbon emission reductions, to the decarbonisation of domestic heating.
