Public First carried out two polls with Onward to look into the electoral implications of the Conservative party changing their stance on Net Zero.

The polling featured testing of the arguments which could be made both in support of and in opposition to Net Zero, as well as analysis of attitudes towards action on the climate in the context of rising cost of living.

A second poll reaffirmed the findings after the start of the conflict in Ukraine.
